劇情簡介：
克林伊斯威特自《登峰造擊》四年後，首度執導並擔綱主演作品。故事講述一名有種族歧視的韓戰退伍軍人，因一台1972年福特老爺車「Torino」，意外捲入亞裔鄰居與當地黑幫衝突中。獲得全美影評人協會最佳男主角、全美十大佳片、最佳原創劇本等獎。

　一個固執的韓戰老兵華特寇華斯基（克林伊斯威特飾），他的退休生活就是每天修房子喝啤酒，偶爾理個髮，雖然已過世的妻子總希望他不要這麼固執，但對這位退休的韓戰老兵來說，時時保持他的來福槍在備戰狀態才是第一要務，沒有妥協的餘地，除了他的愛犬黛西外，他誰都不相信！

　多年過去，他的鄰居不是死了就是搬離這個社區，漸漸地，這個社區被東南亞移民佔據，他對這些黃皮膚的人事事都看不順眼，覺得這些人生活習慣不好，尤其還有一些不良少年，天天在安靜的社區裡閒逛，更是讓他痛恨。

　華特有一輛1972年福特老爺車「Torino」，這輛車雖然年代久遠但是依然光可鑑人，華特從它出廠的那一天就悉心照料。有一天，這群不良少年把歪腦筋動到他的經典老爺車上...。



一開始我以為這是部硬漢報仇的動作片，但在看到中段時才了解這是一部深刻探討種族歧視與青少年成長的片子，片中華特與陶有一段忘年之交就像是《心靈訪客》裡那樣的感覺。

華特在教導陶如何成為一個真正的男人的過程中也解放了自己那鎖在經典老爺車裡的心靈；克林伊斯威特在本片中其實穿插了許多小小的笑點，讓人看來相當輕鬆愉悅。

這片中的華特活脫脫地就像是克林本人，硬漢的外表內心卻是相當纖細的人。最令人驚訝的是，克林伊斯威特除了演跟導之外，還有負責音樂的創作；

從朋友口中知道，他在《登峰造擊》裡就有創作了近半的歌曲，而在這片他還開金嗓唱了主題曲《gran torino》，那副滄桑到極致的聲音，真的是相當適合這首《經典老爺車》

不過，這部片所表現的硬漢風格實在是其他相似的報仇動作片所無法比擬的。跟《登峰造擊》一樣在結尾處會給你重重的一擊，很令人驚訝的結局。
